1st Level IT Support (m/f/d)

Join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as an IT Support Technician in Brinkworth. Full-time, on-site role.

Your Tasks

  • Manage incoming support tickets and resolve straightforward issues such as access problems, password resets and basic troubleshooting
  • Prepare and configure laptops through imaging so that devices are fully set up and ready for users.
  • Install standard software and carry out routine updates to maintain a consistent and secure IT environment.
  • Rebuild equipment when required and ensure devices operate correctly before returning them to users.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, including ticket updates, asset changes and device histories.
  • Provide clear communication to users, offering basic advice and guidance to help them resolve simple issues.
  • Support new starters by preparing equipment in advance and ensuring smooth set up on their first day.
  • Adhere to agreed SLA’s

Your profile

  • At least 2 years experience in an IT 1st Level Support role
  • Confident in basic IT troubleshooting, including access issues, password resets and simple fault finding
  • Experience of using an IT ticketing system to log, update and close support requests.
  • Experience of preparing and imaging laptops and installing standard software.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 application.
  • Excellent communicator – needs to be confident in explaining simple technical steps to all users and to relay instructions clearly
  • Highly organised
  • Able to commute easily to Brinkworth
