Balance of Plant (BOP) Competent Technician

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group Limited is seeking a Balance of Plant (BOP) Competent Technician for offshore wind projects based in Hunmanby. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Core Purpose

  • Responsible for safe execution and support of Balance of Plant activities across offshore wind projects.
  • Focus on mechanical, structural, and auxiliary systems.
  • Provides competent technical support during construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and support BOP activities per procedures and task instructions.
  • Carry out inspection, installation support, maintenance, and preservation on BOP systems.
  • Identify defects and support corrective actions.
  • Provide competent technical support and interface with other disciplines.
  • Comply with HSEQ requirements and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
  • Accurately complete work records, inspection reports, and defect reports.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in offshore or similarly regulated environments.
  • Proven competence in Balance of Plant activities including mechanical, structural, and auxiliary systems.
  • Good understanding of offshore safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong HSE awareness.

Qualifications

  • Valid offshore Medical Certification and Chester Step Test.
  • GWO Offshore Survival and Safety Training.
  • GWO Advanced Rescue Training.
  • ISOH Working Safely or equivalent.
