Fleet Marine Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group Limited is seeking a Fleet Marine Engineer for its fleet of windfarm support vessels. This is a permanent, on-site role with a 21/21 shift rotation based in the United Kingdom and Europe. UK residency is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for vessels, providing responsive and proactive support.
  • Ensure vessels are maintained to a high standard, minimising operational downtime.
  • Provide guidance and support to onboard engineers, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel across the fleet to carry out maintenance, technical inspections, and repairs.
  • Undertake onboard periods to train and evaluate engineering personnel.
  • Arrange external contractors for inspections and certification.
  • Coordinate scheduled and emergency dry dockings.
  • Manage engineering crews, contractors, and shipyards during maintenance periods.
  • Maintain accurate records for all servicing and repair activities.
  • Identify requirements, obtain quotations, and order spare parts.
  • Implement improvements to vessels and operational activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to vessel engineers.
  • Maintain asset management and planned maintenance systems.
  • Travel within UK and Europe as part of shift pattern.
  • Ensure spare parts and tooling are identified, procured, and logged.
  • Sail as Engineer on any [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] vessel for emergency cover when required (after completing AEC 1 and 2 certificates).

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a multi-skilled engineer with Marine, Agricultural, HGV, or Heavy Plant disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with logical and structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Adaptable approach with ability to respond to changing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license, valid passport, and right to work in the UK required. UK residency essential.
  • Approved Engine Course (AEC) Part 1 (<60 miles from shore).
  • Approved Engine Course (AEC) Part 2 (HS-OSC Vessels >85 miles, workboats >150 miles).
  • STCW and AEC training & certification could be provided for the right candidate.
