The Underwriting Business Operations team is the intersection between our underwriting activity and the servicing of our business, ensuring we are delivering our promises to our brokers and clients.

How You Will Make An Impact

This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking to develop their career within Insurance and gain exposure to Underwriting and Operations. We offer excellent training opportunities, as well as the opportunity to gain a CII qualification.

  • Professionally handle incoming calls from existing customers, completing enquiries, and taking all necessary actions in a professional and service focused approach
  • Take responsibility for all customer requests, ensuring action and follow up within the agreed service level.
  • Handling mid-term adjustments within agreed authority
  • Supporting the Technical Underwriters on more complex and/or non-standard cases within agreed authority.
  • Recognise and convert opportunities to introduce other [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] products to existing customers.
  • Consistently achieve individual performance targets
  • Effectively liaise with appropriate representatives of other departments to resolve customer enquiries.
  • Practice customer care by providing accurate information to customers at all times.
  • Ensure excellent product and system knowledge is maintained.
  • Ensure all relevant systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner

  • Excellent customer service and administrative skills, ideally within an office environment

  • Demonstrates drive and a can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
