Auto Mechanic

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify problems and determine the best course of action.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment to retrieve vehicle data and interpret error codes.
- Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and time required for each job.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry advancements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or similar role.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and functions.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or formal training in automotive technology.
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
