Overview

Due to Company expansion we are seeking a skilled Tekla Detailer to join our dynamic engineering and design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise and detailed structural models, supporting the realisation of construction projects through accurate technical drawings and system designs. Duties

  • Develop detailed 3D models and drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret schematics, CAD files, and system design requirements.
  • Utilise software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to support design integration.
  • Prepare comprehensive schematics and technical documentation for fabrication and construction purposes.
  • Assist in the review of models for accuracy, consistency, and constructability before final submission.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and BOMs from Tekla models.
  • Incorporate feedback from project managers and customers to refine models and drawings.
  • Maintain organised digital files and version control throughout project lifecycles.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures is essential; experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of CAD systems, schematic development, system design principles, and construction processes.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles to enhance visual presentation of technical drawings.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and translate them into detailed models.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
