LOCATION: Northern Region plus occasional travel to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Meetings (usually in the Midlands) & occasional travel to Clients/ Prospects - throughout the U.K.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Achieving/exceeding sales target, client management and retention, growth of client portfolio with the Construction Sector. Delivering on customer experience and journey. Positively representing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]/ [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. Identifying and converting profitable sales opportunities, focus on margin, primarily within assigned territory but not exclusively. Reporting activity to the MD and General Manager. Where appropriate collaborative working with the immediate [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and wider [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] team.
ROLE PURPOSE: [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] delivers a broad range of security solutions to the Construction Sector (e.g. Fixed Systems – Wireless and CCTV - Towers, Pods and Manned Guarding). We combine a national reach and capability with a strong focus in the Midlands, combining strong sector, customer understanding and expert operational skills. The North/ Yorkshire (i.e., approximately the M62 corridor and above), is one of our main areas of growth. As a business, we have set ourselves challenging growth and work winning targets and the successful candidate will be critical to achieving our success. We are looking for talented people with creativity and a passion for winning with a good understanding of the Construction sector.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Regular meetings and interaction with customers and prospects ensuring high proximity to clients, detail and opportunities
- Maintain quality working relationships to enhance client retention and new sales through referrals and references
- Identify and develop new and existing referral sources to develop successful referring relationships
- Actively identify and generate prospects through Construction related media such as Magazine’s, Websites, social media, Glenigan, etc.
- Cold calling, beginning relationships from scratch.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Develop and deliver a market penetration strategy with the appropriate input of peers to ensure sales growth targets are achieved
- Grow established client accounts.
- Understand the competitor landscape and commercial impact on the business
- Ensure that the security services we sell have appropriate pricing and contract profitability
- Take accountability for the delivery of service through the operations teams and ensure strong relationships with all the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Team (i.e., the Senior Management Team, the Back Office and the Engineers).

Essential/Desirable qualifications and experience and personal attributes
Essential:
- Considerable sales experience within the Construction Sector
- Security sector experience (i.e., preferably selling Fixed Systems – wireless and CCTV - Towers, Pods and Manned Guarding solutions).
- Results oriented, motivated and target focused/driven
- Excellent sales and customer development skills, engendering confidence
- Excellent relationship building/management skills with high levels of professionalism
- Strong organisational skills.
- Demonstrable record of winning new business
- Customer service and relationship management experience
- Demonstrable experience of building and managing Construction customer accounts
- Ability to exceed targets
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to different circumstances
- Personable, approachable, comfortable working by yourself and as a team player
- Natural problem-solving skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Desirable:
- Experience of working with Blue Chip Construction companies.
