Job Description

JOB TITLE: Account Manager – North (Social Team)
BUSINESS UNIT/DEPARTMENT: Sales
LOCATION: Remote / Hybrid / North
REPORTS TO: Key Account Director for Social Sector
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Commercially minded Account Manager responsible for building and nurturing pipeline opportunities, developing long-term client partnerships, and positioning [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as the partner of choice for organisations and local authorities within the social and public sectors.

  • Achieving / exceeding sales targets, client management and retention, with growth of portfolio within the social and public sectors.
  • Delivering on customer experience and journey.

  • Identifying and converting profitable sales opportunities, with a focus on margin.
  • Reporting activity to the team and wider business.
  • Collaborative working with the immediate and wider team.

ROLE PURPOSE: [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] deliver a broad range of security and related services to void, refurbishment and regeneration projects across the Social Housing, Blue Light, Health, Education, Retail, Commercial and Residential sectors. The role requires a dynamic and commercially driven Account Manager to build key market positions within the social and public sectors.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across organisations and local authorities within the social and public sectors.
  • Nurture portfolio to ensure retention and growth opportunities developed.
  • Develop detailed sales plans to target strategic accounts and growth aligned to the sector.
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching the market and related events.
  • Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies.
  • Ensure maximisation of profit and business opportunities.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts.
  • Contact potential clients by telephoning them.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, preparing proposals and commercial terms.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social and public sector landscape.

  • Provide feedback on market requirements.

Essential/Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Proven account management and/or B2B sales experience in the social sector, public sector, property, estate services, asset management, facilities management, or related sectors.
  • Contract negotiation and dispute resolution experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and forecast sales performance.
  • Knowledge of property risk, vacant property issues, compliance and mitigation services.
  • Experience selling integrated service solutions.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Adhere to GDPR.

Desirable

  • Existing network in UK social or public sector.
  • Knowledge of security sector.
