Commercially minded Key Account Manager responsible for building and nurturing pipeline opportunities, developing long-term client partnerships, and positioning [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as the partner of choice for organisations and local authorities within the social and public sectors.
- Achieving / exceeding sales targets, client management and retention, with growth of portfolio within the social and public sectors.
- Delivering on customer experience and journey.

- Identifying and converting profitable sales opportunities, with a focus on margin.
- Reporting activity to the team and wider business.
- Collaborative working with the immediate and wider team.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Business Growth & Market Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across organisations and local authorities within the social and public sectors.
- Nurture portfolio to ensure retention and growth opportunities are developed
- Develop detailed sales plans to target strategic accounts and growth aligned to the sector.
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching the market and related events, publications and announcements.
- Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies.
- Ensure maximisation of profit and business opportunities.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts with the business operations.
- Contact potential clients by telephoning them, generating selling opportunities.
- Lead commercial negotiations, preparing proposals and commercial terms to secure new contracts and strategic alliances.

- Identify cross sell opportunities throughout the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understand clients’ asset management challenges and position tailored [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] solutions accordingly.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients, potential clients and new clients.
- Work with internal Sales Support Team and wider Social Team to serve as a client advocate internally.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Existing network in UK social or public sector (housing associations, local authorities), property management, or real estate groups.
- Knowledge of security sector
- Proven account management and / or B2B sales experience with a track record of driving new business in the social sector, public sector, property, estate services, asset management, facilities management, or related sectors.
- Exposure to strategic or national account structures, and frameworks
- Strong experience of contract negotiation
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build and close complex deals with a focus on growth
- Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage a pipeline and forecast sales performance accurately.
- Knowledge of property risk, vacant property issues, compliance and mitigation services.
- Experience selling integrated service solutions (technology + human intervention + managed services).
- Experience using CRM systems and working with data to drive decisions
- Adhere to GDPR
