As a Staff Software Engineer, your expertise will help create robust and scalable solutions with good observability and metrics.
What You'll Do
- Software Development: Develop, test, and debug software solutions, leading good coding practices.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategy and engineering best practice.
- Architecture and Design: Lead design of scalable software solutions or third-party integrations, partnering with Architecture colleagues.
- Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure technical standards, maintainability, automated testing and high-quality code.
- Collaboration: Gain deep understanding of the area, working with business stakeholders, product managers, and other engineers.
Who You Are
- Proven track record in developing high-performing, robust backend systems and integrations with focus on optimisation and scalability.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, patterns, and practices for maintainable and adaptable code.
- Good understanding of automated testing practices and tools at unit, integration, and system levels.
- Technical versatility in programming languages (Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript) and tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable applications on cloud infrastructure.
- Android mobile app experience is desirable.
