Children's Palliative Community HCA

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is growing their Community Team and seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for the Three Counties Hospice, Worcester. This part-time role (30 hours/week) delivers holistic care to children with complex health needs in the community.

About the Role

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we provide specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Our Community Healthcare Assistants work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team delivering tailored care packages.

  • Work under the direction of the registered nurse to provide care in community settings
  • Independently provide personalised care as per the child's holistic care plan
  • Empower children and families to make decisions about their care
  • Help engage children in stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Travel within a designated geographic area for home visits

About You

  • Care Certificate or willingness to work towards
  • Previous community and lone working experience
  • Experience working with children with complex health needs
  • Ability to provide care sensitively
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
  • Ability to travel independently around the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] region
