Salary: Up to £70,000 + 17.5% annual bonus plus benefits

About the Role
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Large Corporate Insurance Department manages the largest and most complex corporate risks, with total premium spend over £100k. They oversee circa £200 million in GWPI, underwriting Property, Liability and Motor risks. In this role as Senior Property Underwriter, you will manage a portfolio of existing clients and quotations, serve as the lead underwriter focusing on property covers, build relationships with customers, review and evaluate insurance risks, propose and negotiate policy terms in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s underwriting principles, and ensure fair outcomes and exceptional customer service. You will also train, coach, mentor team members, provide technical support, and support continuous improvement.
About You
You are a Commercial Underwriting professional with extensive experience in Commercial Property risks in the UK general insurance market (insurer or broker environment). You have effective communication skills, ability to build strong relationships, and confidence to challenge and influence. Required:
- Experience of coaching, mentoring and training colleagues
- Confident Communicator with experience leading and influencing risk decisions
- Ability to make rational and logical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach and teamwork
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset
CII qualification desirable but not essential.
