CAMHS Team Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (AWP) is seeking an experienced CAMHS clinician to lead the South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team as Team Manager. This permanent full-time post combines clinical work with management responsibilities. Salary: £49,387 - £56,515 per annum.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced CAMHS clinician to be the new Team Manager for South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team based at Kingswood and Patchway Hubs. 37.5 hours per week, flexible working pattern considered for suitable candidate. You will have relevant qualification, core profession registration and experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service. Previous management experience is preferable however, we will consider experienced clinicians applying without this. The successful candidate will join our experienced leadership team and working closely alongside the Clinical Service Manager to support the clinical team on a day-to-day basis. This post offers the opportunity to develop management skills alongside clinical work as approximately half the post will remain clinical. Main Duties of the Job

  • Working in partnership with the locality Clinical Service Manager to ensure excellent clinical standards and best use of resources.
  • Managing, directing and leading a recovery orientated, multi-disciplinary integrated CAMHS service in a community setting.
  • Undertaking direct clinical work.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Clinical Service Manager, responsible for leading and managing a modern, efficient mental health community service for a defined population.
  • With support from clinical lead, Senior Practitioners and medical consultant, manage delivery of high quality effective evidence-based interventions leading to positive outcomes.
  • Lead by example, motivating and empowering others, promoting positive attitudes and collaboration.
  • Line manage staff within the multi-disciplinary team ensuring effective processes.
  • Oversee performance of designated care clinicians ensuring consistent clinical and quality standards.

Person Specification

Registration and Experience

Essential criteria:

  • Registered as a mental health practitioner with professional qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in CAMHS clinical work.
  • Experience in prioritising and managing the work of a team or others.
  • Experience of motivating and engaging others in challenging situations.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience gained in a team management role.
