Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Event Technician to join our team delivering world-class connectivity at live events. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll take ownership of deploying and supporting robust event networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure reliable wired and wireless networks for live events
  • Deliver fully operational, resilient network solutions with backup and mitigation
  • Install and support Layer 2 networks, with exposure to Layer 3 environments
  • Configure and troubleshoot equipment (MikroTik, Cisco, Ruckus, Ubiquiti, PTP/PTMP)
  • Manage connectivity across cellular, fibre, copper, and wireless technologies
  • Take ownership of on-site technical issues and lead resolution under pressure
  • Support and guide other technicians to deliver successful events

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience in networking and troubleshooting (lab or field-based)
  • Confident leading technical delivery and acting as the on-site expert
  • Solid understanding of VLANs, QoS, and managed network environments
  • Experience with Layer 2 networking (Layer 3 knowledge a plus)
  • Ability to stay calm, decisive, and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to take full ownership on site
  • Computer Science (or related field) to Diploma level or above
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA (preferred)
