FULL DESCRIPTION

Building Coordinator

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Building Coordinator for a contract role at Hinkley Point, Somerset. Pay rate: £300 - £340 per day. Hybrid working: 3 days on site, 2 remote. Immediate start, duration up to Dec 2026.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Experience in engineering, delivering large multi-disciplined projects, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Good technical knowledge, ability to work with minimal supervision, pragmatic approach to issue management, strong compliance to procedures and safety.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in information management.
  • Knowledge of presentational techniques and solid experience in design of Civil works.
  • Understanding of Contract Management, particularly CDM Regulations, maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvements to procedures, processes and systems.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineers in various technical teams and facilitate/unblock interfaces.
  • Monitor performance of JDO using appropriate KPI and reporting.
  • Ensure all design and construction changes are delivered on time.
  • Attend readiness reviews of Design Packages released for construction.
  • Work with Design teams, Contractor and Construction teams to ensure quality technical responses.
  • Report risks and facilitate resolution of issues.
