FULL DESCRIPTION

Civil Configuration Controller

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Civil Configuration Controller for a 12-month hybrid contract at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, Somerset. Rate: £210 - £285 per day (PAYE/Umbrella). Hours: 40 per week. Hybrid: 3 days on site.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Civil Configuration Team Lead, you will control configuration on the Civil Works scope, ensuring proposed and completed modifications comply with project processes and license conditions. This role demands exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the List of Applicable Documents up to date for your assigned area.
  • Process construction change requests to ensure sequential update of configuration.
  • Manage the site cascade of design change process into construction configuration.
  • Serve as primary contact for your area during HPC's construction phase.
  • Run data checks across scope, investigate discrepancies, and lead resolution.
  • Manage interfaces between work packages on permanent works.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to streamline configuration management processes.

Who you are

  • Degree/HNC/HND in relevant science or engineering, or strong technical background.
  • Experience managing engineering documentation like Redline Drawings and Work Pack management.
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Nuclear Power Plant standards.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and requests.
