Customer Service Advisor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring a Customer Service Advisor for Parham Student Village in Canterbury. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £14 per hour.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Customer Service Assistant plays a critical front-line role in delivering an outstanding student experience at Parham Student Village. Acting as a key point of contact for residents, guarantors, visitors, and internal teams, the role is central to student satisfaction, community engagement, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the village.

The postholder will support all aspects of customer service, administration, and student engagement, with particular responsibility for rental management system administration, debt chasing support, and contributing to a positive and vibrant residential life programme, including social media content and student events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer Service & Student Experience: Act as first point of contact, handle enquiries, build relationships, identify welfare concerns, promote community.
  • Student Administration & Systems: Maintain records, support tasks, ensure GDPR compliance, assist with arrivals/departures, on-site duties.
  • Rent, Debt & Financial Administration: Monitor accounts, support debt chasing, maintain financial records, support cashflow.
  • Residential Life & Engagement: Support events, promote engagement, create social media content.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Support H&S processes, report hazards, support audits.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Essential: Customer service experience, strong admin and IT skills, excellent communication, ability to manage sensitive situations.
  • Desirable: PBSA or accommodation experience, rent/arrears knowledge, student engagement experience.
