Adviser/Trainee

This role includes two positions: one focusing on energy advice (fuel poverty, tariffs, energy efficiency) funded by Northern Powergrid, and one working with families on welfare advice (benefits, income maximisation, housing) funded by The National Lottery. The role involves face-to-face, telephone, and digital advice in schools and community settings. Full training is provided. Candidates ideally have some experience in advice or support and working with vulnerable clients.

About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a well-established charity supporting over 8,000 clients a year across the City. We are seeking to appoint an Adviser/Trainee Adviser to provide high quality information, advice and support to people who need our help.

We are seeking to appoint two advisers: one to work with our energy team providing advice on fuel poverty, tariffs and energy efficiency funded by Northern Powergrid and one to work with families providing welfare advice, including support with benefits, income maximisation, Housing and localised social welfare funded by The National Lottery. In this role you will deliver face to face, telephone and digital advice across the city in schools and community settings.

Ideally you will have some experience of giving advice or support, and of working with vulnerable clients. You will be committed to excellent client care, highly organised and self-motivated, able to maintain high advice quality standards. Full Training can be provided.
