[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Head of Psychology to provide leadership and management of our A level Psychology provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner to lead a successful and growing subject area, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning and excellent outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and a clear vision for A level Psychology
- Secure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
- Lead on curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, including lesson drop-ins and book looks
- Analyse assessment and performance data to inform improvement
- Lead teachers of Psychology and support professional development
- Maintain schemes of work, assessment processes and departmental documentation
- Contribute to whole-school priorities
The Successful Candidate Will
- Be a highly effective classroom teacher of Psychology
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy
- Have the ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues
- Use assessment data effectively to raise achievement
