Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Materials Technician with at least 2 years of experience in materials testing to join our team. In this role, you will conduct on-site materials testing and analysis for various construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.) according to UK industry standards (BS, EN, ASTM).
  • Perform tests including plate testing, concrete cube making, and more.
  • Record and evaluate material performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain field-testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure testing procedures are not delayed.
  • Collaborate with site teams to resolve material-related issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of field-based experience in materials testing, specifically with a strong focus on materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregates.
  • Experience with field testing equipment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety.
