The role
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for a section within the Banqueting Kitchen, supervising and supporting Demi Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs while ensuring consistent quality, organisation, and standards. This kitchen is responsible for Banqueting production and also oversees the Staff Cafeteria operation, offering a varied and fast paced environment where leadership, structure, and teamwork are key.
What you will do
- Lead and supervise your kitchen section during preparation and service
- Support the Sous Chefs and Chef de Cuisine in delivering banqueting menus to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards
- Guide, train, and motivate Demi Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs
- Ensure dishes are prepared and presented consistently and on time
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation in line with food safety procedures
- Follow HACCP, COSHH, and health and safety regulations at all times
- Support stock control, rotation, and waste management
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
What we are looking for
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a hotel or quality kitchen environment
- Experience working in banqueting or high volume kitchen operations is highly desirable
- Strong foundation in fresh food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Confidence leading and supporting junior chefs
- A calm, reliable, and team focused approach
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Right to Work in the UK
