Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service
  • Develop retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback
  • Take accountability for the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring deliveries, routines and cleanliness
  • Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll
  • Support with recruitment and induction of new team members

Requirements

  • Friendly, positive, hard-working attitude
  • Strong people skills to build working relationships
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor
  • Successful completion of Employment Verification check and Basic DBS check (or Disclosure Scotland)
