Supervising Social Worker

They play an integral part to our mission of supporting foster carers to create safe and happy environments to the children and young people in our care. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our fostering services operate effectively, our foster carers are supported and the needs of the families in our care are met with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Supervise Foster Carers: Provide ongoing support and guidance to a dedicated caseload of foster families, conduct regular supervision visits, offer practical advice and ensure carers are well-equipped.
- Assess and Train Carers: Conduct assessments on prospective and current foster carers, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and are prepared for the diverse needs of children.
- Coordinate and Monitor Care Plans: Develop and monitor tailored care plans in collaboration with other professionals, children and families.
- Advocate for Children: Act as a strong advocate for children, ensuring their voices are heard and needs met, collaborating with Local Authorities and Therapists.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure all practices comply with standards.
- Foster Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with foster carers, children, and other stakeholders through effective communication and empathy.
