Part-time Care Professional – Huntingdon

Location: Huntingdon (15 mile radius)
Role: Part-time Care Professional (Care Worker)
Hours: 16 hours per week – morning, afternoon and evening work with option to increase after probation period
Salary: Starting rate: Day – £13.52, Evening – £14.04, Weekends/bank holidays – £15.60. NVQ Level 3 or above: Day – £13.73, Evening – £14.25, Weekends/bank holidays – £15.81
Work patterns: Between 7.00am and 10.00pm, flexible shifts requiring some morning or evening availability

About the Role
This role will use your understanding of person-centred care to be part of a responsive team. You will be providing support to people who use our services and their families at short notice in the event of a needed break for unpaid carers. Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and any day could include helping someone develop a new skill, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their home, support with leisure activities and interests. You could be supporting people in their own home or taking them out and about in their community. You will also play a proactive role in signposting the people we support and their families.

What We Need from You
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle is essential.
- Experience is not essential – a kind and compassionate nature is most important; full training will be given.
- A natural communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- An understanding of person-centred care.
- Strong communication skills.
- Competent using various systems on a mobile phone to update care plans and check on your scheduled visits.
- Comfortable assisting with personal care for the people we support, when required.
