Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice through the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. This is a 36-month apprenticeship based at Heathrow Airport. Salary: £14.80 per hour. Must reside in one of nine specified local boroughs.
About The Role
Civil engineers support the planning, design, building, management, maintenance or dismantling of buildings, structures, and infrastructure. Duties include:
- Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering diagrams, documents, and specifications, following industry standards
- Assist in developing engineering solutions by collecting and analysing technical data and using digital tools like CAD/BIM/REVIT
- Prioritise safety by adhering to health and safety guidelines, identifying and mitigating risks
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including environmental and sustainability measures
- Manage project quality, budget, and targets using available systems while maintaining data security
- Communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and stakeholders
- Work both independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for tasks
- Promote equality, diversity, and ethical standards
- Continuously learn and develop skills in line with professional codes and industry standards

Qualifications Required
Minimum Requirements: English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.
Desired Requirements: Previous related work experience or completed a Level 2 Engineering qualification.
Eligibility
- Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status
- Not enrolled on any other courses
- 18+ due to site H&S rules
- Reside in one of: Hillingdon, Hounslow, Ealing, Spelthorne, Windsor & Maidenhead, South Buckinghamshire, Elmbridge, Slough, Runnymede
Key Training Information
Enrolled in Level 3 Civil Engineering course. Apprenticeship duration: 36 months. Typical working week: 40 hours p/w with start time between 07:00 & 08:00.
