Duty Manager - Extra Care

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Ltd is seeking a Duty Manager for its Extra Care service in Lytham St Anne's. This part-time, permanent role offers £12.71 per hour and involves leading the care team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting resident well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Extra Care service, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and supervise care staff, providing guidance, coaching, and encouragement.
  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare of residents and staff.
  • Coordinate care plans and liaise with healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
  • Manage staffing rotas, monitor attendance, and address performance issues.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents or emergencies efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within Health, Nursing, or Social Care, ideally in Extra Care.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding, and CQC standards.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively.
  • Compassionate, patient-centred approach.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends.
