Role Overview

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team. Responsibilities include resolving monitoring issues, ensuring core networking and hosting platform performance, designing and testing networking projects, mentoring non-senior engineers, and participation in the on-call rota. Customer service and excellent communication are essential.

Requirements

  • Hold a Service Provider or Enterprise Network certification at Professional level (Juniper/Cisco/etc); Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL Framework
  • Extensive multi-vendor experience (Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks desirable)
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing networking projects
  • Experience with monitoring systems (SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, etc.)
  • Experience with complex Wi-Fi deployments & Unified Communications
  • Experience with BGP in an ISP environment
  • Experience in an MPLS environment
  • Strong understanding of ticket systems, priorities, and SLAs
  • Effective communication, methodical diagnosis, independent research, full clean UK driving license, excellent English fluency
