Job Description

Heatherside Rest Home is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis, working 39 hours per week. This is a key leadership role for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting staff to maintain excellent standards for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the care team on shift
• Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
• Delivering high-quality personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing
• Following person-centred care plans and maintaining accurate documentation
• Acting as a role model for junior staff
• Liaising professionally with families and healthcare professionals
• Ensuring safeguarding procedures and CQC standards are consistently met

About You

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to undertake)
• Previous experience as a Senior Carer or in a team leadership role
• Medication administration training and experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills
• A caring, professional, and responsible approach

Shift Pattern

08:00 – 21:00, 3 long days per week

• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
• We are not accepting candidates who require sponsorship or additional hours – this is a full-time role only
• Ability to commute/relocate: You must be able to reliably commute to Hook, RG27 9JR, or plan to relocate before starting work.
