What you will do

  • Lead with Impact: Manage and motivate a diverse team, including Supervisors, Drivers, and support staff, focusing on their wellbeing and professional growth.
  • Drive Performance: Strive for top tier punctuality while reducing cancelled services and lost miles.
  • Build a Coaching Culture: Manage team attendance and standards by deploying a supportive coaching approach.
  • Master the Data: Use key systems like Tableau and DriveCam to make smart, data driven decisions that improve safety and service.
  • Collaborate across Teams: Work closely with Engineering and Commercial colleagues to ensure we have the right vehicles ready for every journey.
  • Safety First: Ensure total compliance with health and safety regulations, investigating incidents and keeping our people and customers safe.

What you will bring

  • Leadership Experience: A proven track record of managing and motivating high performing teams.
  • Technical Savvy: Basic IT skills and the ability to interpret data to solve problems.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to deliver clear direction and handle difficult messages with confidence and integrity.
  • Flexibility: A willingness to work shifts and attend out of hours meetings to support our 24/7 operation.
  • Industry Knowledge (Bonus): Experience in a unionised environment or holding a CPC in passenger transport is a major plus.
