Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef with 3–4 years of experience to join our production kitchen in Tradeston. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in savoury food preparation with a strong attention to detail, creativity and flavour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all savoury items such as sandwiches, quiches, soups and sausage rolls that will be distributed to our three venues.
  • Monitor inventory of savoury ingredients and supplies and report shortages as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the savoury station and equipment in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in developing new recipes, dishes and seasonal items in collaboration with the Heads of Department.
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, shaping and presentation of products.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including allergen handling and HACCP procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, cafe or restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation in high volume.
  • High level of creativity for interesting flavours and new seasonal items.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

Working Conditions

  • Standing for extended periods, lifting bags of flour/supplies (up to 25kg).
  • Collaborative team environment with opportunities to grow and learn.

Working Pattern

Days: Typically 5 days per week from 7 (8 hour shifts) on a rotating schedule.

Breaks: Scheduled in line with working hours.

Flexibility: Occasional adjusted hours during peak seasons, product launches, or special events.
