SEN Teaching Assistant - Manchester Primary

Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, England

Salary: £550 - 580 per week

Job Type: Full Time, Term-time

The Role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Supporting children with needs such as autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
  • Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
  • Creating a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment

About You

  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (essential)
  • Strong understanding of SEND, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and delivering targeted interventions
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Strong spoken English skills are essential to effectively support pupils, particularly in a school with a high proportion of learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
