SEN Teaching Assistant - Manchester Primary
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, England
Salary: £550 - 580 per week
Job Type: Full Time, Term-time
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Supporting children with needs such as autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
- Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans
- Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities
- Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
- Creating a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment
About You
- Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (essential)
- Strong understanding of SEND, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH
- Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and delivering targeted interventions
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Strong spoken English skills are essential to effectively support pupils, particularly in a school with a high proportion of learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must have the right to work in the UK
