Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant on behalf of an excellent secondary school in the Sheffield area. The role is to assist with learning across school in a variety of classes and subject areas.

  • Full time position available on a permanent contract – long-term temporary roles also available

  • Working across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to also work in KS5
  • Support with learning in the main classroom settings – 1:1 support and leading small group learning
  • Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to monitor progression of individual pupils
  • Immediate start or September 2026 start available

Ideal Candidate

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher in a core subject or one of the following fields: history, geography and languages
  • Experienced in working with children and young people – desirable but not essential
  • Positive with an enthusiastic personality to engage learners
  • Available to work full-time, Monday-Friday during term time
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
