Chemistry Graduate Academic Tutor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting for an elite secondary school in North West London. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract role with a salary of £26,500 - £30,000 per year.

About the Role

As a Chemistry Graduate Academic Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in driving attainment. You’ll deliver targeted interventions that close attainment gaps and stretch high-achievers, working across KS3–KS5.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-impact 1:1 and small group Chemistry interventions
  • Support GCSE & A-Level students aiming for top grades (7–9 / A–A*)
  • Assist in practical lessons within state-of-the-art lab facilities
  • Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging explanations
  • Track progress and contribute to a data-driven approach to attainment

What We’re Looking For

  • A high 2:1 or First-Class degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Strong academic background with a genuine passion for education
  • Confident communicator with the ability to inspire and challenge
  • Ambition to pursue teaching or a long-term career in education
  • Prior tutoring or mentoring experience (advantageous, not essential)
