Team Leader
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], a [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] sister company, is hiring a Team Leader in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire. This is a full-time permanent role at £14.05 per hour.
Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Key duties
- Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
- Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the service
- Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
- Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
- Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
- Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the service
- Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?
Caernewydd Farm supports 6 adults, both male and female, with behaviours that challenge and complex needs in a peaceful semi-rural setting in the scenic village of Kidwelly, roughly between Llanelli and Carmarthen. Set in its own spacious grounds with pleasant gardens, this working farm provides a tranquil environment for the people living here.
