Role Summary:

We are looking for a summer planning assistant for a 4-6 week period to play a supportive role to an in-house planning team to undertake planning research to support a development roll out and the wider business. The role would suit a candidate who has either completed at least one year of a planning related degree or has recently graduated.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Undertake primary planning research
  • Categorise historic planning consents to enable easy search functions
  • Work with the planning team to improve the information inputted into [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] database to allow for more effective and efficient searches to be carried out
  • File planning application documents and correspondence
  • Monitor key applications and appeals as required
  • Record / categorise useful/notable applications and appeal decisions on our database

Experience & Skills required:

  • Attention to detail
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Comfortable and efficient at using Microsoft Office
  • Record-keeping skills
  • Planning/Geography related knowledge
  • Little/some experience of planning is beneficial although not vital
