Job Description

The Department of Social Policy at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is the longest established in the UK and has received the highest possible rating in all Research Assessment Exercises. The 2026 QS World University Rankings place the Department 4th in the world. The Department addresses major intellectual questions in social and public policy, with strengths in poverty, inequality, work, welfare, education, care, women, race, ethnicity, migration, NGOs, crime, climate/environmental policy, and behavioural public policy.

We are looking to recruit an [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Fellow to teach on our BSc and MSc in International Social and Public Policy. You will contribute to teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students while engaging in our vibrant research culture.

Key Requirements

  • Completed or near-completed PhD in Social Policy, Public Policy, or related field (economics, political science, sociology) by start date.
  • Ability to teach on international social and public policy courses.
  • Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Potential to produce internationally excellent publications in international social and public policy.
  • Desirable: teaching-related administrative experience, including virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle).
