About the Role

We are recruiting for a Residential Life Officer to join the Residential Life team, who, as part of the Residential Support Department, support over 3,000 students living in [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] halls, across three campuses, and in halls in Stratford and Stepney Green. The post holder will lead on the organisation and supervision of a range of inclusive events and initiatives designed to enhance the student experience, promote wellbeing and foster a spirit of community within halls.

The post holder will contribute to the development of an annual events calendar and regularly review it to ensure sustainable levels of student engagement and a balance of quality and value for money are achieved. The post holder will also create content for the Residential Life website and social media.

About You

You will have a strong commitment to promoting positive wellbeing in students and a passion for enhancing their experience in halls and their sense of belonging at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident interacting with students in large and small groups, and motivating staff. You must have a creative, solution-focused approach and be available to work flexibly.

The post is full time (35 hours per week) and permanent. The core hours of work are Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, however, the post holder will regularly be required to work flexibly outside of these hours to oversee the delivery of activities, events and initiatives.
