Your Role

As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Perform at a senior level and play a lead role on transactions, which typically divide into providing strategic advice, leading negotiations of key documents and project management of the relevant transactions.
  • Work as part of a close-knit team, in which there are no rigid sub-teams with all team members having the opportunity to work with each other on a full range of M&A transactions, including corporate acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs/ins and private equity and venture capital investments.
  • Advise a range of clients from large listed and unlisted companies, PE/VC backed companies, mid-market PE investors, ambitious management teams and founder shareholders.
  • Actively support in‑person collaboration to enable effective training and development, including technical learning, business development, and client origination.
  • Have regular opportunities to represent the team and the firm at networking and business development events, both regionally and across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s wider office network.
  • Collaborate with the senior team on our business development strategy, including profile-raising events and communications.
  • Support with the supervision and development of Paralegals, Trainees and Associates.

Your Skills & Experience

You will have/be:

  • A qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered) with a minimum of three years’ PQE, able to lead on matters independently with limited supervision.
  • Worked for a highly regarded corporate team on complex mid-market M&A, VC and PE transactions, with relevant sector experience.
  • A forward thinker, able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • A proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client.
  • Able to contribute to our collaborative culture, with an ambition to assist in the development of junior team members.
