Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department as a Sports Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.
Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry-standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Located just outside Manchester city centre, the campus offers a wide range of vocational and academic courses.

We currently support more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision and are currently rated “Good” by Ofsted.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate of education or PGCE.
- Current and valid industry specialism.
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
- Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
- Working as a team.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Meet delivery targets and plans.
- Accurate and timely reports and records.
- Positive contribution to planning processes.
