About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as an English Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis. You will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English, supporting students in developing essential literacy skills, building their confidence and academic success.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate of Education or PGCE
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Assessor qualifications (if required)
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths minimum level 2 (Grade C or 4 and above)
  • Significant experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Proven track record of high-quality teaching in subject specialism
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet delivery targets and maintain accurate records
