Senior Business Controller

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Senior Business Controller for its BA Wind team to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. This permanent, full-time role can be based in Solna, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, or London.

About the Role

As a Senior Business Controller for our Business Area (BA) Wind team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making by translating finance into business strategy.

Overall purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong professional to strengthen and further develop the reporting and planning process in BA Wind. The role combines structured financial expertise with a hands-on approach to deliver high-quality financial data and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a sound planning & control system within BA Wind
  • Coordinating and executing BA Wind’s Performance Management process including business planning and Group material preparation
  • Coordinating monthly reporting and forecasting, including adherence to accounting guidelines and data integrity across PowerBI, Cognos Controller, and IBM TM1
  • Preparing follow-up reports and Business Performance Meeting material
  • Defining reporting templates, timelines, and IT system requirements
  • Maintaining target and KPI system and scorecards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in controlling, economics, accounting, or finance
  • 8+ years in finance leading planning/control cycles and performance management
  • Experience with IBM TM1, Cognos Controller, Power BI, and Office 365
  • Wind/energy sector experience is an advantage
  • Analytical problem-solver with strong root-cause skills
  • Clear communicator and trusted advisor; fluent in English
  • Proven project leadership, change management, and continuous-improvement mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
