Inflatable Fitter

Job Description

Overhaul and repair of various aircraft safety equipment and associated sub-assemblies; which include escape slides, rafts, life jackets, survival kits, water makers, valve & cylinder assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.
• Reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM's / OHM's and OEM packing instructions.
• Represent and positively promote the organisation at all levels.
• Participate in training and personal development activities as required.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures and support Company initiatives.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as may be required by the line manager or Directors.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
• Comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role.

Requirements

• Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
• OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable).
• Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
• Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment (highly desirable).
• Prior experience working of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
