Ride Engineer

Position: Ride Engineer - Reference: CHacs739 - Location: Chessington - Salary: £43,260 per annum

Job Description

As the Ride Engineer you will be joining the Technical Services team, made up of skilled Engineers, Facilities Technicians, Creatives and Landscapers.

  • Carrying out inspections, ad hoc maintenance & ride start up tasks
  • To carry a radio to enable communication between colleagues and customer department representatives as appropriate
  • To develop professional and considerate relationships with both internal customer departments and external suppliers and consultants
  • To ensure a safe working environment / safe working practises are adopted at all times and any potential health & safety hazards are reported to the department management team, immediately for appropriate corrective action
  • To complete work related risk assessments and method statements
  • To ensure written documentation relating to pre-opening checks and maintenance works are accurate to reflect changes in procedure

Requirements

To be successful in this role of Ride Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • An ONC, NVQ level 3 or BTEC equivalent gained through an Apprenticeship or college route in engineering
  • Post apprenticeship experience, including inspection experience
  • Full understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements such as COSHH
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of work
  • The ability to read and use engineering drawings
  • The ability to display problem solving and diagnostic skills
  • Previous work in a theme park environment is not essential, engineering experience gathered on other electrical systems may be equally suitable
  • Have experience of using technical manuals, risk assessments and related documentation
