Warehouse Manager

Location: Oxford | Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum | Reference: acsOSlcm

Job Description

As the Warehouse Manager, you will support the Head of Logistics and be responsible for the ongoing performance management and improvement of 3rd party freight forwarders, logistics and bottling providers. This includes areas of data accuracy, delivery service accuracy, communication and information provision. The role includes project management responsibilities around improving data visibility internally for the Supply Chain team and to support the Head of Logistics in any ongoing supply chain project work. Responsible for the management of 3PL development plans to drive improvement and compliance in our outsourced freight forwarding, warehouse, transport and bottling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Manufacturing and Logistics Controller to improve customer delivery perception, reduce rework costs and transport costs related to returns whilst minimising stock moving in transit.
  • Manage and control all HMRC related requirements and ensure compliance and due diligence procedures are effective to meet regulatory and business standards.
  • Fully support the business improvement in queries resulting in credits through collaboration with customer services, finance and contractors.
  • Identify and lead projects to deliver process improvements across supply chain.
  • Collaborate with other members of the supply chain, marketing, sales, finance, and demand planning teams to achieve the Supply Chain strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience around sea freight shipping / negotiating with freight forwarders.
  • Experience and knowledge around UK transport.
  • Experience in Logistics, or related field or 4+ years working as a manager in an FMCG environment.
