Senior Accountant

Job Overview

• Prepare accounts and tax computations for an existing client portfolio of clients with turnovers between £0k and £3m.
• Support the client manager in delivering the work required for this portfolio.
• Be confident in UK taxation and Accounting.
• Maintain and develop the current client relationships ensuring tax.
• Be a technical contact for clients and team members, providing assistance on accounting and taxation queries.
• Demonstrate knowledge in current accounting standards, legislation, technical issues and related matters.
• Continue your personal and professional development through education, training and experience.
• Be able, knowledge and competent on year end, tax and management accounts software, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Undertake other reasonable business tasks as requested or required within the practice and actively participate in the activities and needs of the company.

You Need

Education

• You will be ACCA/ACA Part Qualified.

Prior Experience

• Working in a client and service orientated practice for at least 2 years.
• The preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• The preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.
• Helping clients with their systems and accounting as requires.
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• An awareness or history of client payroll.
• Supporting less experienced team members.

Other

• Full drivers licence.
• Have access to own vehicle.
