Sales Director

Location: Rochester | Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 per annum | Reference: acsIsdir

Job Description

The primary focus of the role is to build on the company's UK market position by leading the sales team in establishing a strong multi-year opportunity pipeline and meeting monthly and annual sales targets. Work with company departments and group companies in identifying and winning new product, solution and service opportunities. Travel both domestically and abroad is a key part of the Sales Director role. This is a high availability and high visibility role that requires the ability to build strategic relationships with senior decision makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To achieve and exceed the Sales Revenue, Gross profit and EBIT targets defined by the Company.
  • To generate, champion and propose the ongoing sales plans and strategy for the company through to acceptance.
  • Identify new Solution and Service opportunities with UK train operators, rolling stock manufacturers.
  • Be familiar and skilled with the use of Salesforce or similar CRM reporting tools.
  • To report to the UK Managing Director monthly achievement against budgets, KPIs and sales initiatives.
  • To drive sales and the sales team and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Operations teams to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Sales Engineering, Solutions and Operations teams to identify, define and package new Solutions and Services.
  • Lead in the definition and implementation of the Sales Decision process and ensure that corporate governance is adhered to.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in a Sales or Sales-related role in technology, telecoms or transportation.
  • 5+ years experience in a senior position within the UK transport sector.
  • Experience of closing multi-million pound sales contracts.
  • Experience in leading multi-functional cross-departmental teams to deliver desired sales outcomes.
  • Proven negotiation experience with C-level decision makers.
  • Proven business management and P&L responsibility experience.
  • Budget generation.
  • Experience of selling new technologies into the public sector.
  • Mobile telecoms experience.
