Production Technician

Location: North Wales

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

About the Role

An established and growing manufacturer of high-precision scientific instrumentation is seeking a Production Technician to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment, contributing to the build of advanced equipment used across research, industry, and academia.

The Position

As a Production Technician, you will support the assembly and preparation of components used in complex instrumentation. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality. You will be responsible for carrying out production tasks efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing components prior to assembly
  • Building wiring looms and mechanical sub-assemblies to specification
  • Following standard operating procedures and engineering instructions
  • Completing tasks accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
  • Using tools and equipment correctly, reporting any issues as needed
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production targets

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and technical instructions
  • Good manual dexterity
