Support Worker (Nights) - Crosby House

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for nights at Crosby House. This is a permanent full-time role (36 hours per week) working a 7-day rota from 7:30pm to 7:30am. The role offers a salary of £13.45 per hour. Prior experience in lone working and night shifts is essential.

About the Role

As a Support/Care Worker at this busy service, you will contribute to providing an integrated, inclusive, and quality service for the service users at Crosby House. You will support the full implementation of the 24-hour curriculum according to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying ways of communicating effectively on difficult, complex and sensitive issues.
  • Updating and maintaining records and reports according to statutory and organisational procedures.
  • Promoting, monitoring and maintaining health, safety and security, including medication administration.
  • Promoting well‑being and protection of service users, supporting their rights and preferences.
  • Contributing to protection from abuse, handling disclosures, and supporting students who may have been abused.
  • Ensuring the service users’ physical environment is clean and comfortable, including toileting.
  • Remaining awake and alert during waking night shifts, providing care for service users with health needs.
  • Performing any other reasonable duties as required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability and willingness to attain an SCQF Level 6.
  • Practical experience of working with older people.
  • An awareness of issues regarding older people’s needs.
  • Experience of lone working (for waking night staff).
