FULL DESCRIPTION

Night Team Leader

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Night Team Leader for Crosby House, a 40-room older people's service in Aberdeen. This is a permanent full-time position (39 hrs/week) with a rate of £15.77 - £16.29 per hour.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Promoting effective communication with staff and service users
  • Overseeing accurate recording systems and reports
  • Monitoring health, safety and security procedures including medication administration
  • Supporting service users in daily living and personal care
  • Encouraging independence and social networks
  • Performing key worker role
  • Complying with legislative requirements and care standards
  • Supporting service users with financial advice
  • Planning and reviewing service delivery plans
  • Supporting staff and service users during life changes
  • Participating in staff selection and recruitment
  • Allocating work to teams and conducting staff performance assessments
  • Identifying training needs
  • Managing interpersonal conflict
  • Assisting in disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Continuous professional development
  • Carrying out other reasonable duties
  • Conducting supervision and training of nightshift staff
  • Becoming shift lead and responsible person in emergencies overnight
  • Ensuring thorough handovers to day team

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Essential: SCQF Level 6 in Social Services & Healthcare, knowledge of SSSC Code of Practice, willingness to complete SCQF Level 7, evidence of continued learning, experience in care sector, coordinating activities, record keeping, problem solving, using initiative, assessment skills, communication skills, organisational skills, accuracy, basic IT skills, ability to prioritise work tasks.
