Support Worker - Arrdeir House (Mental Health Services)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] have an exciting opportunity available to join our Arrdeir House Team (Mental Health Service) as a Support Worker based in Aberdeen. This will be a Part-time, Permanent position supporting our service users and in return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits.
- Hours: 28 hours per week
- Working Pattern/Rota: Fixed rolling rota including late and early shifts, alternative weekend working, and set sleepovers (additional allowance).
- Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour
- Post status: Permanent – Part-time

Service Information
Arrdeir House provides long term residential placements and 24 hour support for adults with ongoing and enduring mental health conditions. The main aim is to promote holistic recovery through empowering independence, daily living skills and personalised support.
Purpose of Role
To contribute to the provision of quality services to meet the ongoing needs of service users, whilst working within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Communicating effectively with individuals, accessing and updating written and electronic records.
- Providing a safe environment by complying with housekeeping, infection prevention, health & safety, medication, reporting incidents, using e-mars system, and safeguarding.
- Supporting service users in daily living, providing personal care where necessary, promoting well-being, choice, and dignity through trauma informed practice.
- Supporting service users to develop positive social networks and relationships.
- Encouraging each service user to develop skills for independence, with reference to risk assessments.
- Participating in development, implementation and review of recovery support-based plans.
- Providing emotional support during change.
- Engaging with continuous professional learning as per SSSC registration.
- Participating in supervision, appraisal, and staff meetings.
- Performing other reasonable tasks as required.
Qualifications/Training/Education
- Essential: Registration with SSSC, PVG scheme membership, willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years.
- Desirable: SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare, Food Hygiene certificate.
